Training

All Therapist are qualified teachers who have undertaken  twenty weeks of training  structured to accomplish a number of important educational outcomes:

• The study of texts which provide the background information for understanding human learning and behaviour from a neuroscience perspective
• The use of the Summerhill Clinic Neural Development Scale to determine learning category
• The application of statistics in understanding research articles and clinical programs
• An understanding of how neuroscience can be applied to educational practice with exciting results.  Each teaching document has a set pattern: Rationale, Format, Procedure.  The Rationale explains the neuroscience basis for strategy selection and operation
• Cross-fertilisation of ideas through co-operative learning and studying
• Demonstration of understanding through the completion of set assignments
• Application of the Summerhill Clinic Method in therapy sessions with selected students

Clinician Training

Summerhill Clinic Licensed Therapists have furthered their skills by training to become Clinicians. This then enables them to conduct their own assessments and design programs from the assessment data.
