Services

Summerhill Clinic research is aimed at determining the neurological bases of learning.  We have developed assessment procedures which give us a neural (brain) maturation profile for each client.  From this information, we are able to determine what kind of learning strategies are appropriate for each individual and we can then design a learning program that is specific to that individual's needs.

 A basic assessment generally takes between 2 and 21/2 hours for:
  • a neural maturation profile
  • a spoken language profile
  • literacy and/or mathematics profile
  • a discussion of assessment results
  • a written report (posted at a later date)
  

 

 We work with a wide range of clients:
  • pre-primary children
  • primary students
  • secondary, including TEE
  • tertiary - university, TAFE and students doing other training courses
  • adults
We value the advice of other professionals and direct our clients to the services of a full range of professional expertise in the areas of family medicine, paediatrics, speech, hearing, vision, motor co-ordination, psychological, educational and family counselling.
